Dr. William J. Wallace, 34, of Carroll Township, York Co., PA formerly of Union-town, He died Thursday, Aug. 25, 1994, at Messiah College. Born March 11, 1960, in Wilkinsburg, he was a son of William T. Wallace of Frazier and Ida Mae Wallace of Wayne.
He was a 1978 graduate of Conestoga Area High School and a 1982 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. He earned a doctoral degree in physics in 1990 from Cornell University, N.Y. He was an assistant professor of physics at Messiah College. He was a member of Slate Hill Mennonite Church, Camp Hill, PA
In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Melanie Sue Shrigley Wallace; one son, Thomas A., at home; one brother, David T. of Aiken, S.C.; and his grandmother, Mabel M. Nixon of Honeybrook, PA
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Slate Hill Mennonite Church, 1352 Slate Hill Road, Camp Hill. PA with the Rev. Roger L. Steffy and the Rev. Dr. Paul W. Nisly will officiate. Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery, Lower Allen Township. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to William J. Wallace Memorial Fund, co his church.
Walter, Carol L. Loscher
April 4, 1935 - June 7, 1994
Carol L. Walter, 59, of Upper Allen Township, She died Tuesday [June 7, 1994] in Holy Spirit Hospital. Born April 4, 1935, in Mechanicsburg, PA she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie Patterson Loscher. She was employed at Stephenson's Flower Shop, Shiremanstown. She was a member of Slate Hill Mennonite Church. She also was a member of Harrisburg Area Christian Women's Club.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence J. Walter, three sons, Jeffrey M. of Mechanicsburg, Scott A. L. Walter of Carlisle, and Brian K. of Etters; two daughters, Beth A. Alexander of Camp Hill and Polly Worley of Dover, three brothers, Arthur Loscher and Paul Loscher, both of Mechanicsburg, and James Loscher of Boiling Springs; one sister, Phyllis Fry of Mechanicsburg; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Slate Hill Mennonite Church, 1352 Slate Hill Road, Camp Hill. The Revs. Dr. Paul Nisly and Roger L. Steffy will officiate. Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery, Lower Allen Township. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
